OK the last one is valid (and we do it because you can drink iced coffee way faster, shortening the time it takes for the caffeine to surge through your bloodstream and help you feel like a human person again).

But that “nothing to do” stuff? Erroneous. Sometimes you just need to look a little. That’s why we started The Boston Calendar: to help you find interesting, fun, under-publicized, mostly-free events happening around the city and surrounding areas.

On this blog we’ll highlight especially cool events coming up, review the fun stuff that you missed — with photos and video so it feels like you were there — and keep you posted on any interesting, quirky news happening around town.
