Happy Monday! I hope you spent the weekend in the sun drinking delicious beers mixed with lemonade and working on a sweet farmer’s tan. If you watched the Tonys last night and want to break out the black tie, you might as well do it for a good cause (and hang out with Big Papi) at Sunday’s David Ortiz Children’s Fund Gala to benefit MassGeneral Hospital for Children and the World Pediatric Project.

* Davis Square restaurant Redbones’s 18th Annual Bike Party brings together bikes, brews, barbecue, and maybe even some other “b” words. Brass bands? Can we get the Second Line Social Aid & Pleasure Society Brass Band? We can? Set it up. Proceeds from the party will benefit MassBike and the New England Mountain Bike Association. 6.9. 5 p.m. $15

* Need dinner plans? How about brinner? That’s breakfast for dinner. Tonight’s Daddy Jones’ Breakfast Sandwich Throwdown serves up your favorite meal of the day at your favorite time of day — night time, because that is when it’s socially acceptable to drink alcohol. The Magoun Square bar hosts six local chefs competing for the title of Boston’s best breakfast sandwich, or at least second-best after any sandwich you get from McDonald’s when you’re really hungover on a weekday. 6.9. 6:30/8:30 p.m. $30

* You mess with one Allston indie rock band, you mess with all of Allston’s indie rock bands. Bent Shapes, Earthquake Party, Miami Doritos, and Spirit Kid come together to play a benefit show Monday at Great Scott to help out guitar-pop trio Pretty & Nice, who lost their gear in a burglary last month. It’s only seven bucks — you’ve probably given more than that to bears who play keytars on the street, and these guys are a real band. 6.9. 9 p.m. $18

* Somerville Art Council brings the Dream Tale Puppet Theater troupe to perform Jack & the Beanstalk as part of its Puppet Palooza programming, because of course Somerville has a Puppet Palooza. The show is for all ages, of course, but that really just means all ages of people who aren’t horrified by all puppets that aren’t Muppets and more specifically aren’t the Swedish Chef. Puppets are horrifying. 6.10. 6 p.m. FREE

* World Cup fever: Catch it! Just not with your hands because using your hands is illegal in soccer, even though our opposable thumbs are really the only thing separating us from the animals and you’d think the world’s most popular sport would make us of those amazing thumbs. The Lansdowne Pub’s World Cup Pre-Party celebrates the start of the tournament with live music, giveaways, and a raffle to win a trip to Vegas. 6.11. 6 p.m. FREE

* Odyssey Opera takes to the Boston University Theatre to present fully-staged productions of works by Giuseppe Verdi, Pietro Mascagni, and Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari. Wait, there’s an opera composer named “Wolf-Ferrari”? That’s pretty bad-ass. Just imagine a Ferrari with teeth, or a wolf with a V-12 engine, and instead of taking over the world or ending up in some freak-show zoo, he just writes really beautiful operas. 6.11. 7:30 p.m. $25+

* Follow up your fancy opera night with a fancy gallery opening at Newbury Street co-working space Oficio (that’s Spanish for office, but it doesn’t mean you get to take a siesta every day after lunch). The opening reception showcases a solo installation from Boston artist Sorin Bica, plus music, food and drinks. 6.11. 6:30 p.m. FREE

*Anytime there’s an opportunity to get drunk at the Old State House, I’m going to let you know about it well in advance. Each ticket to the Bostonian Society and Battle Road Brewing’s Historic Beer in a Historic Place includes free beer and snacks, plus a chance to play drinking games with revolutionary characters. Just don’t share a cup with that Ben Franklin — dude had every STD in the book, and by the book I mean Poor Richard’s Almanac, which started as just a list of all his STDs and symptoms and then he thought, whatever, I’ll put stuff about weather and crops and shit in here, too. 6.12. 6 p.m. $15
